WKO-Installation for living and working in Tilburg
The new residential complex De Brabander has recently been built in the middle of the bustling railway zone in Tilburg. Dubotechniek provided the WKO installations that provide sustainable heat and cold for both the Brabander and the adjacent Plan-T, a recently renovated office building. Dubotechniek also took care of the distribution up to and including the delivery sets. The client was SDK Vastgoed, which delivered the building to building owner Hinke Fongers.
Living and working on one source
The Plan-T office building was completed earlier in the year, and the Brabander residential complex was now built next to it. The Brabander residential tower has 17 floors with a total of 162 apartments. While the Plan-T office building requires relatively more cooling, the Brabander requires relatively more heat. This was the opportunity to make a lasting impact with the ONE from Dubotechniek. By connecting the installations of both buildings to one source, this difference in needs could be optimally utilized. The two buildings are connected to the same source, using 2 doublets. Each building has its own technical room with its own WKO Installation ONE. By connecting the two buildings to the same source, a better balance in the source was achieved.
ONE in sight
The technical room of the Brabander is unique in the fact that you can look inside from the street. Passers-by can see the ONE from Dubotechniek through the windows of the building. The recognizable green frame makes the ONE stand out at this unique location. The Brabander is equipped with a BIG ONE with a capacity of more than 450 kW. In addition to the WKO, Dubotechniek was also responsible for the entire distribution system, including delivery sets.
Since its completion, Dubotechniek has also been responsible for the exploitation and full maintenance of sustainable energy for the people of Brabant. With this operating contract, Dubotechniek will fully relieve the building owner and residents of their concerns for a period of 30 years. Because Dubotechniek designs and realizes the ONE itself, it has all the knowledge and skills in-house to optimally exploit the ONE WKO installation and Dubotechniek can act completely on a risk-bearing basis.
